Cross-border cluster integration as а factor of increasing competitiveness of Primorsky region

The article discusses the issues of improving competitiveness of Primorsky region by embedding the local enterprises into global production chains along the neighboring countries. It was determined that the power of cooperation is directly affected by emerging of cross-border economic clusters which are able to attract investment capital and innovative technologies. The author analyzed the factors which contribute to the emerging process of cross-border clusters, identified preconditions for the cluster chains emergence, and determined the long-term trends for cross-border cluster cooperation. The article contains conclusion about the areas of geographical localization of cluster objects. It is proposed to integrate the infrastructure elements of cross-border clusters and the infrastructure created along the advanced development territories.
